The entire Kepar organisational structure is focused on providing customers with electronic manufacturing services (EMS) that combine the highest degree of professionalism, technical knowledge and efficiency in terms of both time and cost.

In order to generate added value in the end product, our production process is based on:

  • Specialisation
  • Pooling of expert resources on latest generation assembly lines

The Kepar production department is divided into two main areas:

  • Automatic SMD insertion area.
  • Manual insertion, welding and testing area.

SMD assembly

Kepar’s automatic SMD insertion area has three production lines of different capacities adapted to meet customers’ varying requirements.

Kepar installations include:
  • One high volume assembly line with an assembly capacity of up to 120,000 components per hour

  • A second average volume assembly line with a capacity of 25,000 components per hour

  • A specific assembly line for prototypes with a capacity of 14,000 components per hour

THD assembly

Kepar has two independent assembly lines with nitrogen wave soldering machines.

Each line has specific work stations for assembling a single code or the simultaneous assembly of several codes.

Automated Optical Inspection

Kepar has automated optical inspection on its assembly lines which enables the detection of:

  • Presence / absence of components
    Tested 100%
  • Polarity.
    Tested 100%
  • Marking
    Tested 100%
  • Shorts between pins
    Tested 100%
  • Welding quality using meniscus measurement algorithms
    Tested 100%

This machine is connected on-line to a repair station where minor repairs can be carried out if necessary.

Assembling and tropicalization

Kepar has an area for final product assembly for those customers who require a complete turnkey service.

Kepar’s facilities include:

  • A specific encapsulation area
  • A tropicalisation area with a line comprising an incoming conveyor and automatic selective coating machine

Testing and checking

In addition to the test specifications required by each customer, Kepar has developed a complete testing and validation process for each board manufactured based on the most complete instrumentation and equipment.

To achieve this:

  • We have nine workstations fully equipped with computers, HP racks and bed of nails board testers for performing in-circuit and functional tests.
  • We develop and perfect our own test procedures or test processes requested by customer from the electronics design stage, and we incorporate the entire code required for testing and validation into the software engineering project.

Our goal is to achieve maximum reliability within a minimum amount of time, thus obtaining quality electronics at low cost.
